The Jungle Book

Redbridge Drama Centre’s new touring production ‘The Jungle Book’ explores a number of topics including the transition from primary to secondary school, bereavement, isolation and inclusivity. Just some of the issues that have been highlighted, particularly for our young people during this challenging year.

The Jungle Book follows Mowgli from the world of on-line gaming through to the exploration of his imagination into the actual ‘Jungle Book’ with all the well-loved characters we are all familiar with.

Mowgli is a fun-loving, cheeky 11-year-old gamer! Escaping daily into the Game becomes much more appealing when everything seems to be going wrong at school and at home - Mowgli’s mum is unwell. Again.

From a Monkey rave to a Popstar/Fortune-teller snake, Mowgli keeps finding the perfect distractions!  When you can be anything you want to be in The Jungle Book, why would you want to leave the Game? Will Mowgli find the courage to put down his headset and face what is really going on before it is too late?

Suitable for ages 10 years+
