*Important Update - 18/03/2020*

Following today's Government update regarding school closures due to COVID-19 will we be suspending all our workshops and classes for all ages until further notice. We will continue to update this website and for existing workshop members updates will be sent via email as to when we expect workshops to restart.





Frequently Asked Questions


Do you offer a free trial session?

Yes, we offer a free trial session for all of our classes. There is no obligation to join after your trial, but if your child enjoys the class then you will be offered a place for the rest of the term.


What's the difference between Performing Arts, Theatre School and Musical Theatre?

Our Performing Arts classes have an equal focus on Theatre, Music, and Dance.

Our Theatre School focuses on drama and acting skills.

Our Musical Theatre class has a main focus on the music and song elements, but with movement and dialogue also incorporated.


Do you have a uniform?

We have RDC tshirts available to buy, but these are optional. However, we ask that all members wear appropriate clothing - no skirts or high heels please!

We do also require members of our Performing Arts Workshop to wear jazz or ballet shoes.


What happens when my child becomes to old for their class?

We have plenty of options for progression here at RDC, and many of our members who started in Reception have now continued into our Young or Youth Theatre Workshops and even Adult workshops!  


Do you offer any qualifications?

Yes, we offer a the Trinity College Musical Theatre Qualification for children in Year 3+.

The Redbridge Drama and Dance course is also a full time diploma course offered to those aged 16 years+.


Will they put on a show?

Our Tuesday Performing Arts Class, Saturday Theatre School and Sunday Trinity Musical Theatre classes put on a private sharing for friends and family.

Our Monday Musical Theatre class, Young Theatre Workshop, Youth Theatre Workshop, Adult Workshop, Alternative Shakespeare Company and Saturday Performing Arts School do annual public performances.  


Are your Teachers DBS checked?

Yes, all members of our staff are DBS checked.


What happens if my child misses a class?

We ask for a termly commitment for all of our classes, and we do not offer refunds for missed classes. If they miss three consecutive classes they will be removed from our registers.

Please let us know if your child will be absent from a class.
