Tuesday Alternative Shakespeare Company

7.30-9.30pm (during term time)

Many forms of theatre clash and come together to create dynamic, highly physical, immersive Shakespeare. Explore Shakespeare in new and intriguing ways and create a brand new version of one of his many plays.

This group work in a very fast paced environment to create abridged versions of well-known Shakespeare plays. So far this year they have performed Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth. While there are no auditions we do ask for your commitment and enthusiasm which are vital for creating passionate pieces of work in relatively short periods of time.

This company will start working on their new project - a performance of As You Like It - from Tuesday 10th September. With the performance in January 2020, new members are welcome to come along any Tuesday, please complete the registration form to register your interest.

What members say...

"I just wanted to contact you to say how impressed I have been with David's directing in the Alternative Shakespeare Group. My son has just had to write an essay for A Level drama about how he portrayed a character. He wrote about Malcolm in Macbeth and he used so much of what he'd learnt working with David.

The group is fun, dynamic, fast paced and educational. Tuesday evenings are a real joy. Thank you so much for setting this up."
