RDC throws its doors open to show its new expanded facilities as it incorporates Redbridge Teachers Centre.

 

The new building has many more opportunities to create theatre and dance, with a large new foyer, extra rooms and a dedicated circus space which will offer circus training courses in juggling, trapeze, clowning etc..

 

In addition the new building increases our scope to house local community and arts groups for regular meetings, courses or rehearsals.

 

The Open Day will be suitable for the whole family and will feature a wide range of activites for all to take part and try something new.

 

Myth and Monsters Drama Workshop – create your own monsters and act in your own myth with a theatre director.

 

Paint Your Face – become your favourite animal or character.

 

Create a Mask – take home your own customised theatre mask.

 

Present The Weather – follow in Prince Charles’s footsteps and present your very own live TV weather forecast in our fully equipped TV studio

 

A to Zumba – Have a free Zumba taster and see what the fuss is about.

 

A to Bollywood – Learn a Bollywood dance routine in one of our dance studios.

 

Wizard Stories Drama Workshop – A drama session from Redbridge’s Resident Storytellers.

 

Juggling and Slack Wire – join Stefano Di Renzo and take your first steps in the Circus Space

 

My Aerial Home – Get fit and run away to the circus with the Trapeze.

 

Sing for Supper with Natural Voices – sing a classic musical number.

 

Performance Poetry – you are a poet, and we know it with this inspiring workshop

 

Comedy Crash Tests – release the hidden comedian in you with expert teaching – dummies not always required

 

Olympic Inspiration – A range of activities linked to London 2012 and what will be happening in Redbridge.

 

In our foyer – Stormy Tempest and the Pony Tails - Redbridge Youth Theatre Workshop’s band will be playing throughout the day in our new Foyerwith food and drinks to buy as well as hot takeaway and of course an ice cream van.

 

Natural Voices will kick off proceedings at 2pm so don’t be late.
